Bacchic poetry (Jamriyya) was a sophisticated lyrical genre cultivated in Nasrid Granada (13th-15th centuries) dedicated to the celebration of wine, hedonistic pleasure, eroticism, and nature, often associated with mystical or courtly intoxication despite the religious restrictions of Islam. This poetry, which often combined eroticism and descriptions of nature, was central to literary and courtly gatherings.
