Papier d'Arménie Booklet

Scent

The story of this aromatic paper dates back to the 19th century, inspired by a traditional practice observed in Armenia. Auguste Ponsot, during his travels, discovered that the locals burned benzoin resin to scent and purify their homes. Captivated by this eco-friendly custom, he brought the idea back to France.

The "Tradition" booklet, introduced in 1885, showcases a blend of sweet, balsamic, and vanilla tones that exude warmth and nostalgia.

The "Arménie" booklet features a harmonious blend of incense and myrrh, enriched with woody and vanilla undertones. This creation was made in collaboration with renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, adding a sophisticated touch.

The "La Rose" booklet, also reimagined by Francis Kurkdjian, highlights roses sourced from Iran and Turkey. It delivers a dual-layered scent, combining the richness of a full-bodied rose with fruity nuances and a delicate sweetness reminiscent of rose jam.

Each booklet contains 12 pages, with each page divided into 3 strips.

This design allows you to enjoy the fragrance in smaller portions, making it a long-lasting and efficient way to scent your space. The paper’s unique aroma comes from benzoin resin, a natural ingredient known for its purifying properties, introduced to France by Auguste Ponsot after his travels in Armenia.
